Starling Collective
with A Box of Smiles and Nubian Resources Centre

In 2022 our Founder Ellie
was selected as one of 50 individuals to embark on the Starling Collective, Giving Tuesday’s International Fellowship.
As part of this, we receieved a microgrant to build on project no. 10 “My Dementia Life Matters”. Working alongside Ronald Amanze and David Truswell, this new project has engaged members of Nubian Life Resources Centre in photography and music.
Over 2023 and 2024, the project is inviting people living with dementia from the African and African Caribbean communities to document their shared expeirences togther, and to create their own poetry and songs.
We look forward to sharing the oucomes soon!
